Young Adult & Community Engagement Workshops

“Trauma in & Around Us” - Participants learned definitions of trauma, its impacts, and how trauma connects to mental health. Participants explored emotional consciousness through guided activities focused on increased vocabulary of feelings and healthy communication. Various mental health components were reviewed to increase knowledge of terms, definitions, and understanding of symptoms.

“My Life - My Choices” - Participants engaged in a simulated "Life" game that provides them with an allocated monthly payment. Participants are required to make real-time decisions about "life occurrences" that will incur payment or a bonus of money. Life questions were asked to supply bonus money associated with credit, finances, daily living skills, and decision-making.

“Building Healthy Connections” - Step into a safe and welcoming space where conversation meets creativity! Together, participants explored the heart of what makes relationships—both with ourselves and with others—healthy and fulfilling. Through engaging group dialogue and interactive activities, participants dove into themes of self-love, kindness, communication, and the patterns that shape how we connect in our communities.
