Inclusive Fundraising Fellowship: A Commitment to Equitable & Community-Centered Practice
WE Unite, LLC proudly participated in the 2026 Inclusive Fundraising Fellowship (IFF) through the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Central Virginia, an organization committed to advancing generosity, positive social good, and fundraising best practices. Established in 2019 by former AFP Central Virginia board member Jessica Cocciolione, the fellowship was created to uplift the diversity of fundraisers across Central Virginia while providing foundational knowledge of traditional fundraising practices. Over time, IFF has evolved into a holistic learning experience that recognizes the importance of centering people, examining systems, and embedding equity within fundraising and community engagement.
The fellowship's framework, is grounded in three core pillars: centering the whole person, foregrounding systems change, and embedding equity and community-centered practices. Facilitated by Yasmin Gregg in 2026, the program creates opportunities for participants to reflect on the relationship between fundraising, organizational practice, and the communities we seek to serve.
Through WE Unite's participation, we continued investing in professional growth, expanding our understanding of inclusive resource development, and strengthening the connection between relationship-building and sustainable community impact. This experience reflects WE Unite's commitment to learning, collaboration, and creating approaches that honor the lived experiences, strengths, and aspirations of individuals and communities.
