In partnership with the Mary & Frances Youth Center & VCU Division of Community Engagement, WE Unite, LLC partnered with Difficult Conversations, to create “DC Youth Voices”.

Difficult Conversations - Youth Voices was selected for funding through the VCU-Youth Development Network (YDN) 2025 Positive Youth Development Seed Grant program. DC-Youth voices was said to stand out among nearly 30 proposals, impressing the VCU & Community Grant Review Committee with its thoughtfulness, innovation, and clear alignment with VCU’s mission to support and uplift young people in our community.

Difficult Conversations & WE Unite co-created the "Purpose, Power & Profit" series with community leaders and partners who helped facilitate sessions, connect resources, and bring youth and families into the space. The series created an opportunity for young people to explore purpose and self-discovery, financial empowerment, social capital, digital entrepreneurship, STEM, and future planning in a way that was interactive, practical, and grounded in community.
